So there used to be a robot on Sesame Street that needed things explained to it.
You know exactly where this is going to lead, right?
CALM DOWN, Sam, this is a kids' show.

Happy Day That Should Be More Normal
Hope your April Fool's wasn't too stressful and annoying this year. Have a classic Muppet skit.
I'm kinda glad that major April Fool's Day gags seem to be mostly going out of style on the Internet, Google's recent faux pas aside.

Pöpcørn (Can't Really Improve On That Title)
I don't know why I love Swedish Chef segments so much, but I do.
(I also love how, since he's a Muppet, Waldorf is typing so frantically that it appears that about half of his keystrokes are hitting his number pad.)

This Makes Me Smile
In some respects, it's kinda astounding that The Muppet Show is a thing that actually happened.
This chunk of the series' pitch especially shows how audacious it could be, in a way that rather defies its roots as "just" a bunch of puppets for kids.
Also, I heard recently that Jim Henson's default answer to not being sure how to end things was generally mayhem. That... explains a lot about the Muppets in general.

Those Martian Guys From Sesame Street?
They're still awesome.
Incidentally, shame on whoever hacked the Sesame Street YouTube account and made them feel they needed to put up the "safe environment" statement on all their videos. Don't be such a broody joy-hating teenager, whoever you are.

Sesame Street Martians Investigate Mysterious Device
I think the surest sign that Sesame Street has gone in a direction I don't like is probably the rarity of segments like this on the modern program.
I mean, those guys are awesome.
It gets funnier if you imagine that this must be playing in their heads starting around 2:27.

Probably Not Brain Food
Look! It's proto-Cookie Monster!
Y'know, now that I'm not a stupid teenager, I can honestly say: I love Sesame Street. Not everything in it, and honestly, the older skits are usually better than the last ten years or so...
And those aliens are awesome.

Smell Like a Monster?
I'm not really familiar with the thing that this is parodying (though my sister has seen it), but I don't think you need to be familiar with the source material to find this amusing.
On the site I found this on, somebody commented to the effect of "Grover > Elmo." Granted, but "Cookie Monster >> Grover + Elmo." Seriously, the only other dude on Sesame Street who rivals Cookie Monster is the Count.
